Crown Terms

Last updated June 28, 2026

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Crown mobile app and bookcrwn.app (together, "Crown"). By creating an account or using Crown, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. This includes booking a barber from a Crown web page without an account — by submitting a booking, you agree to these Terms and that Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Crown.

The short version: Crown is a platform that connects clients with independent barbers. We are not the barber and we don't provide barbering services — the appointment is an agreement between you and the barber. Be accurate, be respectful, follow the law, and understand that each barber sets their own services, pricing, and cancellation policies.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Crown, and at least 18 years old (and legally able to offer services) to register as a barber. By using Crown you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. What Crown is (and isn't)

Crown is a marketplace and booking platform. We help clients discover independent barbers, view their services and availability, and book appointments. Barbers are independent providers, not employees or agents of Crown. Crown does not provide barbering or grooming services, is not a party to the agreement between a client and a barber, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any service. Any dispute about a service is between the client and the barber, though we may help facilitate a resolution.

4. Your account

You're responsible for the information you provide and for activity under your account. Keep your login credentials secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk or harm.

5. Bookings

When you book, you request an appointment with a specific barber for specific services at a chosen time. The booking is a direct arrangement between you and that barber. Barbers set their own services, prices, durations, working hours, location (in-shop or mobile), and policies. You agree to provide accurate booking details and to show up for, or properly cancel, your appointments.

6. Booking on the web

You can request an appointment from a barber's Crown web page without creating an account. As with bookings in the app, the appointment is a direct arrangement between you and the independent barber — Crown is not the barber and does not provide the service. You agree to give accurate booking details, including a name and a working phone number so the barber can reach you. If you add a home address for a mobile appointment, we may share it (and its approximate map location) with that barber so they can come to you; please confirm the exact details with the barber directly.

Some web pages show a distance heads-up estimating how far you are from the barber. This estimate is based on your internet connection, is approximate, and may be wrong. It is a convenience only and is not a promise that a barber will or won't travel to you — the barber sets and confirms their own service area.

If you later create a Crown account using the same phone number or email you booked with, your guest booking may be linked to that account as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Payments, deposits, and tips

Crown does not currently process payments in the app. You pay your barber directly, in person, using the methods they accept. Prices shown in the app are set by the barber and may not include taxes, tips, or add-ons agreed in person. If Crown introduces in-app payments, deposits, or tipping in the future, additional terms will apply and will be presented before you use them.

8. Cancellations and no-shows

Each barber sets their own cancellation window and policy, shown at booking. Please cancel or reschedule within that window so the barber can offer the slot to someone else. To protect barbers from repeated no-shows, Crown may limit booking for clients with a pattern of missed appointments. Barbers may mark appointments as completed or as no-shows. Deposits are not collected through Crown at this time.

9. Barber terms

If you use Crown as a barber, you additionally agree that you: (a) are an independent professional responsible for your own services, conduct, licensing, permits, insurance, and taxes; (b) will provide accurate business, service, pricing, and availability information; (c) will honor confirmed bookings and your stated policies; (d) will comply with all applicable laws and health and safety requirements; and (e) are solely responsible for your relationship with your clients. Crown does not employ you, set your prices, or guarantee you any volume of bookings.

10. Your content

You may submit content such as photos, notes, messages, and reviews ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Crown a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use your User Content as needed to operate and improve the service (for example, showing a barber's portfolio to clients, or delivering your reference photos to your barber). You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit and that it doesn't violate these Terms or anyone's rights.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to: break the law or infringe others' rights; post content that is false, harassing, hateful, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation; harvest data or interfere with the service; attempt to access accounts or systems without authorization; or use Crown to arrange anything illegal. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules. Crown has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users, and we act on reports promptly.

12. Reviews

Reviews should reflect a genuine experience. Don't post fake, incentivized, or retaliatory reviews. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms, but we are not responsible for opinions expressed by users.

13. Intellectual property

Crown, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from Crown except as permitted by law.

14. Apple App Store terms

If you download Crown from the Apple App Store, the following also applies and you acknowledge it:

15. Disclaimers

Crown is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any barber or client will meet your expectations. You use Crown at your own risk.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crown and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Crown or any interaction with a barber or client. Our total liability for any claim relating to Crown will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crown and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of Crown, your User Content, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

18. Termination

You may stop using Crown and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk for Crown or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Crown's operator is principally located, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to first try to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@bookcrwn.app. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the courts located in that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Crown after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
